Hi All,
My name is Steve, i am 44 and i have been gambling since i was 11 years old.
I have always gambled on Fruit Machines, nothing else, not even Football which is my favourite sport. OK OK i am a Liverpool fan! Proud of it!
Anyway gambling has caused many problems throughout my life, from being kicked out of home from an early age to spending time in prison! i have lost many a friend through my exploits, some i really miss.
I am not proud of the things ive done, ive messed up my life, ive wasted so much time and effort in this to be honest pointless addiction.
But it took to the reason i went into Gordon Moody to realise how bad this addiction had got, i think i did the worst thing ever. I stole from my employer to feed my addiction, the one job i actually looked forward everyday to going to.
I am ashamed and extremely guilty of the hurt i caused my employer because at the time i was highly respected and trusted. But like an idiot the addiction took over and i lost everything including my home as that came with the job.
But i cannot dwell on the past, i have to be positive and look to the future. 22weeks Gamble Free!!! Yeh!!!
Hope to hear from people, do pop by and say hi!
Take care all

Hi Stevie, Congratulations on 22 weeks gamble free. I am only 9 days so I have a lot of catching up to do. But I feel positive. ***** shed loads of money from my parents and borrowed money from every available source you can imagine to feed my addiction. And only heart break and debts to show for it . A gambling life is really not a good way to live. Good luck to you and stay clean.– 05/01/2012 19:11:34: post edited by blueelvis888.
