I have made a very important decision in my life – QUIT GAMBLING!
The advice I can give to others who want to do the same thing is EDUCATE yourself.
Research into how gambling works, how this evil trap takes hold of you. Read on how the gambling industry and media brainwash you into thinking there is nothing wrong in gambling. Gambling is very evil. It plays with your brain and creates a false high, something which you go back for over and over again. Think you have found a new stratergy in beating a game? Think agian you will NEVER ever win in the long run. NEVER. A gambler is a gambler and they will always go back to gamble. Only one way out and that is to KILL gambling. How do you do this? Educate and research. Treat it as your enemy and you have to get rid of it now.
It completely ruined my life in the space of four years. From having everything people would dream of to blowing it all mainly on online casinos. I have done everything imaginable to feed this habit and come out a winner. It will not happen. Gambling is designed for people not to win. Only one person wins. The house. Please free yourself from this.
Quiting won’t be hard if you understand how this trap works. WAKE UP!!

Totally agree with you amz. I forgot many times this year and went on a 4 day straight gambling binge. I am almost totally broke again. I am back to starting all over again.

I’m sorry to hear that. From my experience of gambling and relapsing I found nothing really helped me to stop till I started reading up on gambling and the process behind it. The techniques and brainwashing used by this industry is disgusting. I haven’t stopped for long but I am confident this time round I will not be going back.
I hope you find the way and come out of this gambling trap that’s taken a hold of you.

Thanks for the message. It is a very very tough addiction and the only way to win it is not to take part. That way the industry does not get your money.
Has been a few weeks now since I last gambled and not getting any urges all to the fact I had to change my whole mindset to gambling . It can be done if you put your mind to it. I will post with updates . Stay strong

i have been gambling uncontroled for 50 years plus. i’m not going to tell you how it has affected my life, finances, and family. We are all in a fire…that must be put out!! but how? if there is a cure for a sickness like a cold or a bad cut…why cant we be cured from gambling?
i’ll tell you why…its inbedded in our thought process. we do it over and over and now we can not put out the fire.
I have been clean for 16 months now…but as i write this..my girl is away for 7 days…and my mind is screaming to play. Yes the meeting help..but in reality…we have to do this by just what we are doing here on this forum…SHARE.
God be with us all!! -

Great outlook, AMZ.
Change the thinking and the action changes.
Sometimes we need to retrain ourselves by changing the behaviour first . Then our belief system will follow.
Well done on your G free time.
One day at a time. -

Hi,
I’m new here. I never thought of researching the actual system of gambling, I have never looked up on how it works. I am definitely going to look this up. Thank you
