Hi I live in scoland atm and I got a system that I can bet a horse on my computer and lay it off on my bet fair exchange account! I do this early in the morning and usually make 20 to 50. I had 15k of saving but now only got 8k as I bet on horses to if I fancy them and bet a lot of odds on horse and been chasing a 1 k lost which turned into a 7k lost! So now I feel it’s not even worth making that 20 to 50 a day as i lost so much! I just want to chase back what I lost by betting big on favs. Any advice would be grateful!

As compulsive gamblers no win can satisfy us, chasing your losses means a bigger disaster waiting for you. Please read my story then you will learn.

My best advice is that to stop gambling and stop forever, get help from GA and counselors self ban your self from casinos etc

You have also used the word “system” in several of your posts, that you are hoping your betting system comes through for you. The truth is, there is no betting system that works, obviously yours does’t work or you wouldn’t be bleeding money. Like FM said, stop now, stop thinking you have a winning system and you can rebuild your money and your life.

But I got a friend who is not a compulsive gambler like I am who makes a couple of 100 a week from it! Just can,t understand how he can control it but I can,t! It’s just like something takes over me when I,am chasing!

Two things may be coming into play here:

1. Friend is not being truthful
2. Friend is on a lucky streak

Lots of betting systems have very poor risk reward metrics. For example you risk $1000 to make $50 but your “winning” percentage is relatively high…maybe you win 95% of the time but your winners are small but that 5% of the time when you lose, you lose all of your winners plus some of your own money. The thing is you can go a long time without losing but if you have a few losers in a row it can get out of hand really really fast. Just some stuff to think about maybe.
