Today, I am starting a clean life by saying “one”. I will try to walk away and remove gambling from my life by using the experiences I have gained after dozens of unsuccessful attempts as my guide.
      *
The first few days will be a tough battle for me, I want to focus especially on reading during this period.

*To be frank, I’m postponing this accounting a little bit so that I don’t count the time and money I lost in gambling and dream of winning again (to avoid this trap).

*For a long time, I will intensely experience withdrawal and gambling, like a drug addict. I will work hard to tame this feeling inside me. ??

*In my previous experiences, in the first days, the emotions I actually experienced while gambling, such as disturbed sleep patterns, tension and quick decision-making on life-related issues, followed me. Now, I need to break the bond of gambling behavior with life. I should exemplify this as follows: You may be a practical person by nature, but I myself am I realized that even in important financial decisions, I was making quick decisions as if I were playing a game. Now I have to destroy this too.

To summarize, I will try to raise my moral motivation by staying away from the gambling environment in the first days and include different activities in my life than when I gambled. It is very difficult to get rid of gambling behavior and suggestion without making any changes in your life. For example, if you are betting on sports, do not watch those competitions for a while. I am playing the race. I put the password on TJK TV at home. I closed my account in the virtual dealer. My most difficult and important test is to stay away for a while and to replace the passion for gambling with correct behavior. I hope we will do the accounting together in the future. I will sincerely try to count the days I was away from under this post. I will continue.

Hello Ludwig and welcome. I came here 20 days ago and I am 23 days gamble free since my last relapse. Before that I stayed 140 days gamble free. But this time I realized something different.

It is very hard to stay gf but very easy to relapse.

Don’t forget. You are not gamble free if you don’t play in a normal day or when you ran out of money. You are gamble free if you don’t play in the crisis time. When you crave so much but hold yourself away from it.

Don’t think about the replaceable things like money. If you have some debts, it’s not much important pay your debts. You can pay all your debts and start it again and make it even worse than before. You gotta focus on your recovery. Money always can be earned. But there are things that can’t be replaced. Family, friendships, self respect etc. Don’t lose these.

I’m hoping that you post here again. You are not alone in this. We are stronger than gambling and we can defeat it. It’s a lifelong battle but we can defeat it.

Being positive is important. Don’t let this get you down. We are still alive and we still have dreams. And as long we are breathing, there is hope.

Hope to see you again here.

I have been away from gambling since 04.05.2024. I met your website yesterday and wrote my beginning story. Today is my 75th day away from gambling. I wish all my friends a nice day.
